Willow Smith is bull-dozing her way into the music industry! I first heard her single “Whip My Hair” a little over a month ago. From that moment I have been patiently anticipating her video premiere. Well, the wait is over.
Her music video is premiering tonight at 7 p.m. on both Vevo and the BET show 106 and Park. I personally just finished watching the video, and I am beyond impressed. I have not been this excited about a music video since Lady Ga Ga’s “Bad Romance”.
It is set in a new-age, all white classroom. Willow uses her hair as a paint weapon. She whips her hair left and right- covering everything in her sight with splashes of bright and vibrant colors. She dances and steps in the video with a fierce attitude that would leave Rihanna herself threatened.
Willow has me excited about music again. Yes, a 9-year-old girl has me dancing all over my room and singing off key. She is ushering in a change. I can’t wait to see what does next!
